Jonah Turns 2!

Jonah turned 2 on the first day of July!  Now I've finally been able to get a picture and post onto the page!  He has turned into such a cheerful little fellow.  He's determined to be just as grown up as his big brothers.  I guess he's tired of being left behind!  Here's a list about Jonah Bear.

-He loves cars, trucks, really just about anything with wheels.  He runs to the nearest window whenever he hears a big truck outside.  He calls a garbage truck a babbage truck and he falls asleep clutching his toy one in his little hand every night.

-Jonah calls himself Jogie.  We don't know where it came from and he can say Jonah but he just prefers Jogie.

-Whenever he wants to be picked up he says, "Hold my Jogie!"

-He eats just about everything.  In fact, he usually cleans his plate and then Simon's.

-His favorite things to eat are blueberries, grapes, cheese sticks, and peanut butter crackers.

-He now refuses to use a sippy.  When he asks for a cup of water he always adds, "no lid!"

-He loves to pick out his clothes in the morning.  He wants to be the one to pull them out of the drawer when its time to get dressed.  He also likes to pick out his "jammie jams" at night.  He came up with that name for his pjs himself.

-Jonah is a blanket boy.  He loves to carry his blankets around the house.  One of his favorites is a polka dotted one that he calls a moon blanket.

We are all really enjoying having our little two year old around.  Reed and Simon are both really good with him and love to help him with things.

Simon is 5!

Simon is now 5 years old!  I can't believe how big he's gotten.  We had his birthday party at Green Mountain with a yellow Avengers cake.  He decided to dress as Spiderman at the last minute.  Here's a quick rundown:
Favorite Color: still yellow
Favorite Food:  spaghetti, pizza, ice cream, pretzels
Favorite Superhero: Superman (he just started watching Justice League)
He can now ride a bike with no training wheels.
He played Tball with the Orioles.
His favorite part about tball is hitting and saying "good game!" to everyone at the end.
He wants to be lawyer "like Charles Pitman" when he grows up.
He now sleeps with Aha, Dimon (his build a bear), Lion, and Cat blanket every night.

On Marriage

Simon (with a very worried face): Mommy, I don't know how to get married when I grow up.
Me:  It's okay, Simon, you'll know how when you get old enough to get married.
Reed (confidently):  It's really easy, Simon!  All you have to do is say "Will you marry me?" to a girl and she will give you one of two answers.  The best one is "No" because you don't have to do anything at all.  But if she says "yes" then you have to get married soon after.

70 Socks!

So with 5 people using 1 pair of socks each day for 7 days, we go through 70 socks a week!  This picture is only of socks that haven't been picked through over the last couple of days.  I would say that 70 is probably a conservative number, especially since a certain 4 year old can picky about cleanliness.  Yes, people, we are drowning in socks!

Reed turned 7!!

I can't believe my Reed is seven years old.  He shared Mother's Day with me this year.  We celebrated with a birthday party the day before with cake at the park.  We had such a good time that they were worn out when we got home.  On Sunday Reed tried out the 20 inch bike we've been saving for him and he actually fits it!  I am so proud of my sweet caring boy.

Favorites
Foods:  ravioli, pizza, hot dogs

Jonah's latest words

Every night, when I put Jonah to bed, I lead him in a prayer.  I usually let him come up with things to thank God for.  For the last week he has led off the list of things with milk.  I'm not sure why but milk ranks higher than cars and balls which is really high!  This is the boy who falls asleep every night with a car in each hand.

He also likes to ask the same couple of questions when he wants to engage in conversation.  Of course there's "What are you doing?"  And "What are you eating?"  Also, "What's that?"  His newest one is so cute!  It is "What's that sound?"

Reed and Simon love the movie "The Princess Bride"  As a result "Inconceivable!"  Is shouted often around here.  Jonah has picked it up except when he says it, it sound more like "un-seeb-able!"  Or "unseeable!"
